Dieses Turbolader-Modell wird bereits seit 2011 in Großserie produziert und arbeitet auch bei hohen Abgastemperaturen langfristig zuverlässig und effizient. Bei den „International Engine + Powertrain of the Year Awards“ erhielt der mit diesem Turbolader-Modell ausgestattete 1,0 l Dreizylinder-Motor Ford „EcoBoost“ seit 2012 fortlaufend verschiedene Auszeichnungen als „International Engine of the Year“ sowie in der Klasse „unter 1 Liter“ bzw. „unter 150 PS“.
