Keeping the wheels turning

Fuel Supply Systems

  • Kraftstoffsysteme
The exact quantity of fuel is determined for every engineoperating state.

Keeping the wheels turning

Having a sufficient amount of fuel in the tank is absolutely crucial for proper and reliable vehicle operation. Yet, even a full tank of fuel is of no use if the fuel supply from tank to engine isn’t totally reliable. Our high-quality fuel supply systems provide assurance across a wide range of vehicle makes and models.

  • Fuel Pumps

The fuel pump is part of a fuel supply unit which is located in the tank.

  • Fuel Supply Units

The fuel supply unit consists of a fuel pump (sometimes with swirl pot), a filter, and a flange with corresponding connections. In addition, the supply unit can be equipped with a lever-type sensor, or can be used with a tubular-type sensor.

  • Lever-Type Sensors

Lever-type sensors are used to measure the fuel level in connection with an electrical display unit. Some sensors are grounded. Sensors without grounding have a separate ground connection.

The lever-type sensor types in the product range include:

    • Without warning contact, insulated return
    • Without warning contact, insulated return (adjustable)
    • Without warning contact, insulated return (special)
    • Lever-type sensors can also be equipped with a warning contact to signal the reaching of a fuel level limit (reserve) and for continual measuring.
  • Tubular-Type Sensors

Tubular-type sensors are used to measure the fuel level in connection with an electrical display unit. Some sensors are grounded. Sensors without grounding have a separate ground connection.

The tubular-type sensor types in the product range include:

    • Without warning contact, common ground or insulated return (ø 54 mm)
    • Without warning contact, common ground or insulated return (ø 80 mm)
    • With warning contact, common ground or insulated return (ø 54 mm)
    • Without warning contact, common ground or insulated return (special)

Tubular-type sensors can also be equipped with a warning contact to signal the reaching of a fuel level limit (reserve) and for continual measuring.

  • Fuel Pressure Regulators

Fuel pressure regulators maintain a defined fuel pressure. If pressure is exceeded, a spring-loaded membrane allows the return-flow channel to open, permitting excess fuel to flow back into the fuel tank.

  • Fuel Pumps with Swirl Pot

Within a supply unit, a pump is installed into a swirl pot.

  • Fuel Injectors

The exact quantity of fuel is determined for every engine operating state. The injection valve injects the calculated quantity exactly dosed at the prescribed time in front of the cylinder input valve and thus ensures clean and efficient fuel utilization.
